Shooting Stars

shootingstars

While they look dainty, the shooting stars come up year after year on the loop trail, in the same general area, right in the road. You can mow them off, drive over them, hike over them and they still appear every spring. The plants have a crown that sits just above the soil and it stays intact all year long. The shooting stars bloom for just a short period and we think they are special. If you get to see the flower you can pick just one!

Pine Point

thepoint2

Just off the side yard of the cabin, Pine Point gives a great view of the property. It overlooks the pond and all you can see is in the park.

Not fog, pollen

ancientpinepollen

ancientpinepollen2

Yesterday I posted a couple of photos with fog in the front yard. These shots show the giant white pines in the front yard releasing pollen. Any day now we’ll see that again, it’s usually a bright June day when you get to see this. Then there is pollen everywhere!
